AUTODESK CREATIVE FINISHING is the new name for the Media & Entertainment Systems group. The name is accompanied by a complete set of newsoftware versions for Flame, Flint, Flare, Lustre, Smoke and Smoke for the MAC

Some of the highlights include:

1Beyond, the leader in On Set Data Wrangling (see the article on our client's page) now also makes data recorders. The new 'Dude' is designed to fit and use battery or local power inhelicopters, trucks and other spaces to record single or stereoscopic streams from any data/raw camera. The front panel touchscreen monitor acts as control surface and viewer - even for 3D images.

Iridas - makers of Framecycler and Speedgrade, have a new software release for all products. We are very impressed with their stereoscopic tools including an AUTO button that aligns the left eye and right eye streams for geometry and color match removing the often painstaking task needed to get shots to a starting position before finishing.

Rorke Data, has a new operating system for their SAN products called HyperDrive. A faster and less expensive solution for building and maintaining SAN systems. Rorke also has a new archiving product built on hard drives built to be stored for long periods.
